The Tall Ships Races 2017 Klaipeda: A Sensational Parade and Prizes for the Fleet on Day Two

Posted on: 30.07.17

The city of Klaipeda was treated to a fantastic Crew Parade from the Tall Ships fleet today, Sunday 30 July, as the theme of international understanding and friendship took centre stage ahead of the fourth Prize Giving ceremony…

Starting in the centre of Klaipeda, on J. Janonio Str, the parade took a route through the heart of the city and thousands of spectators were treated to a kaleidoscope of colour from all the crews. The international fleet, representing nearly 20 countries, showed Klaipeda just how great it was for the Tall Ships to be back.

Following the parade, which finished at the main stage area of the Host Port, the Tall Ship’s crews gathered for the eagerly anticipated Prize Giving Ceremony.
