As Race Director for The Tall Ships Races, Magda is responsible for advising on technical aspects of sail training within Sail Training International and liaising with Host Ports on the infrastructure, in-port facilities and port programme for the Tall Ships Races.
Magda has competed in the Tall Ships Races many times both as a crew member and as a skipper. As skipper of Class C yacht, Sharki (Poland), she led her to crew to winning theprestigious Friendship Trophy in 2009 and was awarded Young Sail Trainer of the Year in 2010. As a volunteer she has furthered her relationship with The Tall Ships Races and sail training, acting as a Communications Officer during our Races and Regattas in 2014, 2015 and 2017, and as a founding member of the Sail Training International Youth Council.
Since then, Magda has continued to play a vital role in the organisation of The Tall Ships Races and sail training. In 2018, she was welcomed to the board of directors of TSRIL and acted as Chair of Race Two of The Tall Ships Races 2022.
Away from sail training and The Tall Ships Races, Magda has worked on many other sailing series and has a proven track record in implementation and management across events including The Ocean Race, World Match Racing Tour, Extreme Sailing Series, Optimist World Championship and Match Racing Europeans and Worlds events.
She frequently joins international teams and participates in various regattas in the Caribbean, Solent or South of France as well as offshore campaigns including Fastnet and other RORC races.
