Magda competed in the Tall Ships Races many times both as a crew member and as a skipper. As skipper of Sharkey (Class D) they won the Friendship Trophy. As a volunteer she has been a Communications Officer in the Black Sea Regatta in 2014 and an original member of the Youth Council.
She has worked on many other sailing events, most notably The Xtreme series and the World Yacht Racing Series. More recently she has established her own sponsorship agency in Poland for sports events in which she also organises sports events. Last year she was a speaker at The World Yacht Racing Forum. This is the biog that they published;
“Magda has a proven track record in implementing and managing international sailing events including 2014 EUROSAF Match Racing European Championship (Event Director), Optimist World Championship 2015 (Vice President), 2015 ISAF Youth Match Racing World Championship (Event Director) and (2014-2016) World Match Racing Tour / (2017) Match Race Super League stopover: Sopot Match Race (Executive Director)”.
Magda started her career in sailing by becoming Poland’s youngest tall ships captain. She was awarded the coveted Sail Training International Friendship Trophy and the Young Sail Trainer of the Year 2010 title, then moved into competitive sail racing.
Playing tactician role, she frequently joins international teams and participates in various regattas in the Caribbean, Solent or South of France as well as offshore campaigns including Fastnet and other RORC races.
Aside from sailing projects, Magda speaks 9 languages, which certainly helps when she is consulting and executing other international sporting and mass events such as EHF European Handball Championship and La Liga Legends projects.
