Einar is a Naval Architect with a passion for sailing and sail training. He was the Director of the Norwegian Class A Tall Ship Christian Radich from 2004 until 2018 when he retired. He concentrates mostly on continuous improvement of sail training, and on safety. He has crossed the Atlantic twice with Christian Radich, has also sailed as a trainee on board Statsraad Lehmkuhl and Eendracht, and been a board member of Norwegian Sail Training Association for 10 years.
Before joining the Sail Training family, Einar worked in technical design, marketing and chartering within the ship and offshore industry. After studying for an MA he concentrated more on business improvements and crisis management in banks.
He has 10 years experience as a management consultant, and was Managing Partner at Habberstad (a Norwegian recruitment and consultant company) before returning to his roots – ships and sailing.
