Race report 7: Kapitan Glowacki first in Class A position
Fifty six international, sail training Tall Ships will soon be gracing the banks of Norway’s longest river Gomma in Fredrikstad (629km) – the second port of The Tall Ships Races 2014.
Fredrikstad is expecting some wonderful weather and hundreds of thousands of visitors for their port event. This beautiful town has a population of around 80,000 people and features a bustling quayside and cosy old town. It’s proud to be the best preserved fortress town in Scandinavia with a rich history, shops, galleries and cafí©s.
Most of the vessels will be arriving into harbour throughout Friday (11 July) and Saturday (12 July) morning – with a deadline to be in port by 12 noon that day.

Class C: Adieu (Norway); Sharki (Poland)
Class D: Inchpincher (UK); Komandor II (Poland); Rzeszowiak (Poland)
