July 8, 2014
The first race leg of The Tall Ships Races 2014 from Harlingen (Netherlands) to Fredrikstad (Norway) sees yesterdays position leading Polish vessels replaced by three from Norway in Classes A and B.
Paul Blshop, Race Director, Sail Training International said, “The Captains and navigators of The Tall Ships Races 2014 had a challenging night with close racing as the light to moderate winds have backed against them.
“The Norweigan fleet are putting in a strong performance and have taken up some of the early leading placings in the race to their home country.
“The weather is forecast to remain in the north east for the next couple of days which will continue to give the crews a challenging, tactical race.”
