Marmara passage – Leg 1, Race One
The strong winds from the south that swept through the fleet yesterday have increased further leaving the 17 ships making good headway through the Sea of Marmara towards Istanbul.
According to the communication team on the Polish ship Dar Mlodziezy the wind has swung round to the south-sou’west and increased to Force 8.
A once daily position report will be published on the website fleet tracking each morning as the fleet sails up to the start of the second leg of the race to Varna which begins on 18 May.
