Looking forward to the cruise in company
The third day in Harlingen saw the sun shine on the beautiful port as the celebrations continued for The Tall Ships Races 2022…
Over 100,000 people visited the event yesterday to watch the vibrant Crew Parade and Prize Giving Ceremony. With a population of only 15,000, the city has once again transformed itself to welcome the Tall Ships fleet.
The crowds were treated to a memorable sight once again as throughout the parade, the crews of the Tall Ships fleet gave onlookers a kaleidoscopic display of energy and vibrancy that is a hallmark of the race series.
Setting Sail for a Cruise in good Company
Following four days of maritime celebrations in the Dutch port city, the majestic Tall Ships and Small Ships now set off in a Cruise-in-Company voyage to Antwerp, Belgium.
Unlike a traditional race leg, the Cruise-in-Company leg of The Tall Ships Races gives crews throughout the fleet the opportunity to take part in a cruise of adventure between two Host Ports. There’ll be a perfect mix of invigorating sailing and exploring amazing bays, natural landscapes, historical ports and much more.
This voyage will showcase the delights that the coastal regions of The Netherlands and Belgium have to offer. From hoisting the sails on a traditional Tall Ship or keeping watch on a modern yacht, you and your fellow crew will enjoy an adventure they’ll never forget.
