Aalborg enjoys long standing friendship with the Tall Ships fleet. The city has hosted Tall Ships events six times since 1999 and welcomed nearly 4 million people to the maritime celebrations…
Aalborg is situated in the North of Jutland, Denmark, and is the country’s fourth-largest city. It’s undergone an extensive period of rejuvenation over the last few years – the updated waterfront areas are now the focal point of the city. Such has been the city’s development from an industrial hub to a modern city it was named in the top ten places to visit by the New York Times.
“In 2022 Aalborg will host the Tall Ships Races for the sixth time. We see it as a great honour, and we look forward to once again creating North Jutland’s largest summer event with concerts, entertainment and the world’s most beautiful ships in port.
“Aalborg has had a love affair with The Tall Ships Races since 1999, when Aalborg hosted for the first time, and the city experienced how the Limfjord and the ships can gather people and create a fantastic party for young and old alike. We can now look forward to that again in 2022.”
