Admiral the Rt Hon Baron West of Spithead presents STI Patron, Nigel Rowe with the UK Marine Society’s Outstanding Achievement Award, The Thomas Gray Medal. The medal is inscribed ‘For Services to Sail Training.”

Nigel Rowe led Sail Training International as Chairman from 2002 to 2012, providing leadership to this growing charity, working with the Board and the CEO. He became Patron in August this year. Doug Prothero is currently acting Chairman for STI and a decision on the new Chairman will be made at the annual conference in Riga, Latvia in November.
