More than 50 Tall Ships depart from Sunderland this afternoon (Sat) for the start of the Tall Ships Races 2018, leaving their berths to head out of the River Wear to the North Sea and on to the second host port, Esbjerg in Denmark, where they will arrive on Wednesday after travelling 472 nautical miles.
