Race Update 1

At the first communications report at 0600 hours on the 16th July Mir (Russia) (pictured in the start area)  was leading on the water doing an amazing average of 14.8 knots and the three Norwegian square riggers Sorlandet, Statsraad Lehmkuhl and Chrisitan Radich plus Georg Stage (Denmark) are having a very close and epic race. 

In Class A on corrected time, Christian Radich is first in class and first overall, Statsraad Lehmkuhl is second in class and second overall and Shtandart (Russia) is third in class and third overall.

In Class B on corrected time Jens Krogh (Denmark) is first in Class and tenth overall, Aglaia (Austria) is second in class and 13th overall and Constantia (Sweden) is third in class and 15th overall. 

In Class C on corrected time, Dar Szczecina (Poland) is first in class and 20th overall, Zvezda (Russia) is second in class and 26th overall and Black Diamond of Durham (UK) is third in class and 28th overall.

Finally, in Class D on corrected time, Polarrev (Belgium) is first in class and 27th overall, Miles to Go (Belgium) is second in class and 37th overall and Hebe III (Czech Republic) is third in Class and 46th overall.
