Ever since completing a family circumnavigation in 2013, William has been involved in the sailing community. He has sailed one-design boats, participated in offshore races, been an instructor, and sailed on his secondary school dinghy racing team. Most recently, he worked as a deckhand aboard the Pride of Baltimore II, where he fell in love with tall ships and their promotion of education and teamwork. William hopes to advance youth sail training, and his goal is to encourage others to try various facets of the sport.
