Jack has been the UK representative of the Sail Training International Youth Council since 2017, and also became the secretary of the board in 2018.
His first sail training voyage was in 2014 with Ocean Youth Trust South. Since then he has sailed as a volunteer on a number of sail training vessels, and he fits in as much sailing as he can around his university studies. Following his first tall ships race in 2016, he has been involved in promoting and getting more people sailing at numerous festivals and events since.
