The Race Continues
The Fleet has moved quickly southwards and most ships have already now turned towards the east and towards the finish port of Cadiz.
The weather has been good for the ships with currently a wind from the WNW at around 13-14 kts. The sea state is slight to moderate – very nice sailing conditions!
There are new leaders in Class A with Alexander von Humboldt moving up to first place followed by Frederick Chopin and Europa. Mir and Dar Mlodziezy are close behind in fourth and fifth respectively.
In Class B Johanna Lucretia and Maybe lie first and second with Rupel in third place whereas in Class C the battle is between Dar Szczecina and St Iv with Hosanna challenging from third place.
Finally in Class D Urania leads from Lietuva with Tomidi in third place.
There is still quite a distance to travel so it will be interesting to see how positions change in the forthcoming period and immediately overnight tonight. Some close results may well develop.
