SCF White Sails of Peace Tall Ships Regatta 2021 Postponed
Tall Ships Races International Ltd. (TSRIL), regrets to announce that the SCF White Sails of Peace Tall Ships Regatta 2021 will not go ahead this year.
TSRIL and our sponsor PAO Sovcomflot have been forced to recognise the ongoing and complex challenges still posed by the COVID-19 pandemic on both the fleet and the ports and are sad to conclude that the conditions are not there for the Event to go ahead this year and that it will be postponed to a later date.
As organisers of The Tall Ships Races and Regattas, TSRIL, PAO Sovcomflot and our Host Port partners are committed to providing safe events for trainees, staff, volunteers, vessel operators, partners and visitors alike. With this in mind, we hope that everyone affected by this decision will understand and appreciate the circumstances which have led to it.
This has not been an easy decision for anyone involved and we would like to extend our warm and heartfelt thanks to PAO Sovcomflot, the Host Ports and all other parties for their dedication and commitment to date to ensure that the Event could go ahead.
A further announcement regarding when this Event will take place will be made in due course.
Whilst we are deeply saddened that the SCF White Sails of Peace Tall Ships Regatta 2021 will not be going ahead as planned, we all very much look forward to returning to the Pacific Rim with this spectacular event as soon as the world health situation permits it.
As we all continue to face the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the thoughts of everyone at Tall Ships Races International Ltd, PAO Sovcomflot and the organising parties of Vladivostok, Nanao and Yeosu continue to be with everyone affected.
