Race Report 6

As the race draws to a close the crews are working hard to improve their placings, with all classes having a change in positions since the 06:00hrs schedule.

In Class A, Sorlandet (Norway) remains in the lead but Mir (Russia) has moved into second place, pushing the winner of Race One, Christian Radich (Norway), down to third on corrected time.

In Class B, Jolie Brise (UK) and Wyvern (Norway) remain in first and second places on corrected time, with Tecla (Netherlands) coming in third with Pegasus (UK) back in fourth place.

In Class C the two leading vessels have switched positions, with Dar Szczecina (Poland) now leading with Black Diamond of Durham (UK) in second place, and Spaniel (Latvia) remaining in third position.

The battle for third position continues in Class D, with Tomidi (Belgium) (pic) now replacing Dasher (UK) behind the leaders Hansa (Spain), who has finished and is alongside in Hartlepool, and Endorfina (Poland) in second place on corrected time.

Overall Jolie Brise remains in the lead, followed by Dar Szczecina and Black Diamond of DurhamSolandet is the only Class A ship currently in the overall top ten, in sixth place.

As the race finish has been brought forward, Class A vessels will finish the race at 12:00 UTC/GMT on 5

August (13:00 local time), Class B vessels at 12:15 UTC/GMT on 5

August, Class C vessels at 12:30 UTC/GMT on 5 August and Class D

vessels at 13:00 UTC/GMT on 5 August.

Provisional results will be available here once all ships are in port

and final results announced when declaration forms have been submitted

and reviewed by the race committee in Hartlepool.
