Race report 5 – 31 August – Update from Race Control

August 30, 2011

Latest update from race control –

Butterfly (Poland) retired at 0500 UTC.

Lietuva (Lithuania) reported via a commercial vessel and therefore will not receive a time penalty for lack of reporting in this morning’s schedule.  Now that this has been received the positions in Class D are as follows:

Leituva leads in class and overall, with Fujimo (USA) in second place in class and overall and Lady B (Poland) – pictured – third in class and sixth overall.

At the back of the fleet Sedov (Russia), who appears to have been stuck with no wind at all, now reports NW wind at 10-12 knots.  Meanwhile towards the front of the fleet Race Control reports WNW 20 knots.
