Race 3 – Evening Update 1 June

At the 1600 UTC/GMT report, the fleet all reported to race control that they are all sailing well with good north-north-westerly winds of around Force 5-6. 

In the lead on the water is Hansa (Spain – pictured above), who is the only vessel to have passed waypoint 1. Behind her is Mythos (Greece) and just 1 mile behind her is Akela (Russia).

On corrected time, Dar Mlodziezy (Poland) is leading in Class A and reporting sailing at around 13kts. Kaliakra (Bulgaria) in currently in second place with Mir (Russia) in third. Tecla (Netherlands) is in the lead of Class B on corrected time, with Bodrum (Turkey) in second place and Maybe (UK) in third. 

In Class C, Mythos (Greece) is in the lead on corrected time as well as being in the lead overall. In second place in Class C is Mati (Croatia). In Class D, Akela (Russia) is in the lead on corrected time withAdonis (Greece) in second place and Hansa (Spain) in third. 

Glaros K (Greece) has retired from the race. Christianna V (Greece) is not taking part in the race but is accompanying the fleet and is at present at harbour on Limnos island.
