Gigi Leads on the Water in Light Winds

The fleet has experienced very light and variable winds overnight with some vessels not making any headway towards the finish line at present. Gigi, UK (pictured) heads the fleet with 211 miles to go with Spaniel, Latvia just two miles behind. Mir, Russia is the leading Class A  with 214 miles to go with Dar Mlodziezy, her sistership from Poland, only three miles behind her.

Mir is also the leading vessel on Corrected Time overall with St Iv first in Class C and second overall on Corrected Time. Statsraad Lehmkuhl, Norway is second in Class A and in third place overall on Corrected Time.

Jolie Brise, UK is leading Class B on Corrected Time and Gigi is also leading her Class (D) on Corrected time.

The wind is forecast to increase slightly over the day but from a south easterly direction which will be more favourable to the modern rigged vessels (Class C and D).
