Dar Mlodziezy Takes Line Honours
Once again, Race 2 has been dominated by a great battle between Poland and Russia with Class A vessel, Dar Mlodziezy, beating her sister ship, Mir, by just over an hour to take line honours in the race from Lisbon to Cadiz.
However, the current race positions for Class A on corrected time are:
1st: Europa (Netherlands)
2nd: Dar Mlodziezy (Poland)
3rd: Fryderyk Chopin (Poland)
If race positions stay as they are, the Prize Giving ceremony in Cadiz will see a Polish invasion with four Polish vessels likely to collect a prize according to the interim race report.
Class B:
1st: Vera Cruz (Portugal)
2nd: Johanna Lucretia (UK)
3rd: Kapitan Borchardt (Poland)
Class C:
1st: Dar Szczecina (Poland)
2nd: St Iv (Estonia)
3rd: Hosanna (France)
Class D:
1st: Urania (Netherlands)
2nd: Lietuva (Lithuania)
3rd: Akela (Russia)
The weather conditions will be variable for the remainder of the race which will once again lead to challenging tactical decisions.
