Crew Take Over Waterford

Following a noisy and vibrant crew parade through the City of Waterford,  Military vessel A.R.C Gloria from Colombia, swept the board at The Tall Ships Races 2011 Prize Giving Ceremony scooping four of the 18 available prizes including Best Crew in the Crew Parade Class A. 

However, crew from the UK’s Rona II were determined not to be out classed, picking up the ‘Best Dressed Crew’ (pictured above) and  inter-ship sports prize ‘Trying all activities.’

Attended by the Mayor of Waterford, Councillor Pat Hayes, Chairman of the Organising Committee Waterford, Des Whelan, and The Tall Ships Races Event Chairman, Knut Western, winning crew members were presented with a spectacular piece of Waterford Crystal.
