Crew Parade Steals the Show in Aberdeen
Crew Parade Steals the Show in Aberdeen
The wet weather did not dampen the spirits of the crew today, as they performed to crowds of well-wishers here in Aberdeen.
Visitors from miles around came to witness and join in the celebrations as our young crew delighted generations with their costumes, lively choreography and music. The feeling of excitement was palpable and the joy on the faces of all those who came was just fabulous to see.
Led by the Royal Marines Band and closely followed by carnival performers dressed in show-stopping nautical costumes, the parade made its way from Union Terrace, passing iconic Aberdeen landmarks including His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen Art Gallery, Town House and Castlegate, before descending down Marischal Street and reaching the main stage at Peterson Seabase.
The prize giving ceremony, could be heard for miles as crews enjoyed the spotlight upon receiving their well-deserved awards.
