Captains prepare for the race ahead

The fine details of the departure from Antwerp to the arrival in Aalborg were covered today in the Captains’ Briefing, which included reports on the race start, weather and facilities on arrival.

Also presented was the Chief Vessel Inspector’ Award, given to the vessel which, in his opinion, demonstrated the highest degree of preparedness for vessel safety inspection.   This was awarded to Henrika (Finland) and the award, presented by George Mills, was collected by Captain Antti Hyssala (pic).

The ships will begin undocking tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1100hrs and the Parade of Sail, along the River Schelde, is expected to commence at 1600hrs.
