Falmouth, UK

We are delighted to return to Falmouth and, following the success of The Falmouth Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Regatta 2014, the Funchal 500 Tall Ships Regatta in 2008, The Tall Ships Races 1998 and as a Tall Ship friendly port since their first ever visit in 1966, we look forward to yet another spectacular welcome in 2023.

A long-term friend of Sail Training International’s Races and Regattas, the Cornish town will once again welcome the Tall Ships fleet as they make preparations for Race One south to A Coruña, Spain, on 18 August.

As the first Host Port, Falmouth will join Host Ports A Coruña, Lisbon and Cadiz in hosting the race series along the Iberian Peninsula. During their visit, the Tall Ships fleet will berth alongside at Falmouth Docks Port Pendennis Marina, creating a fantastic spectacle set against the iconic backdrop of Falmouth Harbour framed by Henry VIII’ twin castles of Pendennis and St Mawes.

As part of our efforts to continually ensure The Tall Ships Races are a sustainable event for Host Ports and the Tall Ships fleet, we will be trialling a ticketing scheme with Falmouth during the first stop of the series.

In order to access the event and join in the celebrations, visitors will need to purchase tickets during a designated timeslot between 14:00-18:00. Given the current challenges imposed by the cost-of-living crisis, ticket prices have been set at £5 for adults and £2.50 for under 16’s.
