SCF Black Sea Tall Ships Regatta 2016: Two Russian Wins in Historic Race

After a challenging race, final results of the historic first Tall Ships Race between two Russian ports (Novorossiysk and Sochi) have been confirmed, with Russian vessels winning both Classes.

Now that all the vessels are in the Port of Sochi and have submitted their declaration forms, the results on corrected time are as follows:

Class A

  1. Mir (Russia)
  2. Pogoria (Poland)
  3. Kaliakra (Bulgaria)
  4. Royal Helena (Bulgaria)

Class B/C/D

  1. Akela (Russia)
  2. Adornate (Romania)
  3. Viking (Russia)
  4. Super Good (Russia)

There were several retirements along the way, with Atyla (Vanuatu), Kruzenshtern (Russia), Khersones (Russia) and Nadezhda (Russia) all having to abandon racing for various reasons.
