Race 3 – Race Ends, Provisional Results
Race 3 of the Historical Seas Tall Ships Regatta ended today at 1500 UTC/GMT and the provisional results are now known, although these cannot be confirmed until all the vessels are in Lavrion.
On corrected time, Dar Mlodziezy (Poland – pictured arriving in Lavrion), is the winner of Class A as well as overall. In second place in Class A is Mir (Russia) with Kaliakra (Bulgaria) in third.
In Class B, Bodrum (Turkey) is the winner with Tecla (Netherlands) in second place and Maybe (UK) in third. Class C has been won by Mythos (Greece) with Mati (Croatia) in second. The winner of Class D is Adonis (Greece) with Akela (Russia) in second and Hansa (Spain) in third.
Hansa is also the winner of line honours having crossed the finish line first at 21:38:37 UTC/GMT last night. She arrived in Lavrion in the early hours of this morning. Dar Mlodziezy arrived in Lavrion at around 1400 local today with Adonis and Mir arriving at 1700 local. The rest of the fleet are expected to come into Lavrion during the course of this evening and tomorrow morning and be alongside by midday tomorrow 4 June for the start of the four day festival.
