What is Virtual Tall Ship Racing?
Virtual racing simulators are online games that let you experience the thrill of an epic race from the comfort of home or anywhere else you have an internet connection. You are able to race against a large online community of fellow racers, all trying to master the powers of the elements and cross the finish line first.
Races play out in real time, following the exact same race routes and waypoints of the original route of the postponed races. You’ll also benefit from realistic weather conditions for the race, giving you the chance to learn how to take advantage of wind speeds and directions to take you to the front of the fleet!
For the Virtual Tall Ships Races 2020, we’ll be welcoming captains of the Tall Ships fleet to take control of their ship online and join the action. You will be able to keep up with all the action with our traditional race reports and follow along live at Sailonline.org.
