A Prize Giving with a difference here in Stavanger
Dancing, Creativity and Boldness – three words to describe the Prize Giving here in Stavanger today. Trainees and crews gathered in front of the main stage this afternoon to celebrate not only outstanding race results, but also a range of unique award categories never before seen in The Tall Ships Races.

While the B, C and D Class vessels did not compete in a race from Antwerp to Stavanger, the team found creative ways to celebrate their achievements and recognise the efforts of their trainees. They developed a number of alternative trophy categories, including:
D CLASS TROPHY = Dance award – The vessels that showed us their moves are every bit as impressive as their sailing skills!
C CLASS TROPHY = Creative award – For the vessels that dared to think differently and stood out through their creativity and flair.
B CLASS TROPHY = Boldness award – The vessels that demonstrated bold thinking and strategic excellence, both on land and at sea.
