ABOUT THE HOST PORTS
Bordeaux, France
Thursday 8th – Sunday 11th July 2027
The first stop in the series will be the picturesque city of Bordeaux, where visitors will have the opportunity to marvel at the fleet of tall ships and enjoy a programme packed with vibrant cultural events.
Having last hosted the Tall Ships fleet during the Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta 2018, 2027 will mark the first time since 1990 that the French city has hosted Sail Training International’s main race series.
A Coruña, Spain
Friday 16th – Monday 19th July 2027
The second stop of the series will see the fleet sail across the Bay of Biscay to A Coruña, one of Spain’s most exciting maritime cities. With its long history of seafaring tradition, A Coruña promises to be an unforgettable stop for both participants and visitors alike.
As a long-time friend of The Tall Ships Races, 2027 will mark the 11th time that A Coruña has welcomed the fleet.
Sines, Portugal
Thursday 29th July – Sunday 1st August 2027
The final leg of The Tall Ships Races 2027 will bring the fleet back to the beautiful port of Sines, located along the stunning Portuguese coastline. Having previously welcomed over 100,000 visitors during the Tall Ships during the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta, 2027 will see their debut as a Host Port of The Tall Ships Races.
Known for its rich history and maritime heritage, Sines will provide the perfect backdrop for the majestic Tall Ships fleet once again.
More details on the routes and race-specific information will be announced in due course, including the overall race format and Cruise-in-Company leg.
Sail Training International is currently seeking to contract a fourth Host Port to complete The Tall Ships Races 2027 series and would like to invite any interested ports or cities to contact our Commercial Director, Vanessa Mori (vanessa.Mori@sailtraininginternational.org), to discuss their interest further.
