In 2017, Kei participated in a week-long tall ship voyage in Australia onboard STS South Passage. From here, Kei got more involved in Tall Ship Sailing and he joined the Sail Training International Youth Council as the Japanese Youth Representative. In 2019, Kei helped to organise a weeklong tall ship voyage for Japanese and American students onboard SV Miraie in Japan. He enjoys both tall ship sailing and sailing on cruising yachts with his friends. Kei has now moved to New Zealand for university and is living and studying in Christchurch.
