Race two, report two: westerly race strategy winning
Christian Radich (Norway) has taken first in Class A on Corrected Time and is also ahead of her rivals on the water.
Paul Bishop, Race Director, Sail Training International said, äóìThe westerly strategy that Christian Radich has taken in the first part of the race from Bergen to Esbjerg has paid off as she has overhauled Gulden Leeuw (Netherlands) since this morning and is opening up a good lead against her other Class A rivals. She is placed west of the rhumb line which puts her in a commanding position for the next stage of the race as the wind is forecast to back (counter clockwise).
“Wilhelmstad (Poland) is now positioned in third place for Class C, overtaking Black Diamond of Durham (UK) from this morning, but the current top three placed positions in Class D remain the same with competitive sailing between them.”
The first interim position report shows:
Class A
1 Christian Radich (Norway)
2 Kapitan Glowacki (Poland)
3 Morgenster (Netherlands)
Class B
1 Liv (Norway)
2 Atlantica (Sweden)
