Fulfil your New Year’ Resolution in Falmouth
There are now 37 Tall Ships signed up to race in the 2014 Falmouth – Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Regatta, providing a variety of experiences to suit individuals of all ages. All aspects of life on board the ship will be explored. You will learn how to set sails, steer a compass course, be part of a team and if you are brave enough climb the rigging.
On top of the extraordinary skills you learn on board, there will be wonderful festivities in both ports, a cruise in company down The Thames and the race itself. In total the activities encompass a 10-day period. Nine ships are already fully booked, but there are still hundreds of places up for grabs.
The cost for a space on board a Tall Ship varies from £600 to £1,000, depending on the ship you sign up with. There are also opportunities to part-fund some spaces, with bursaries available to those who are disadvantaged and have fundraised some of the cost themselves.
