La Spezia opens to the public

Festa Della Marineria 2013, the local festival which is coincides with the Lycamobile Mediterranean Tall Ships Regatta, was officially opened at noon today and since then thousands of visitors have walked along the pontoon to view the ships.  Most of the fleet are now alongside and the crews are relaxing after a challenging race.

The final results will not be confirmed until all the ships are in port and race declaration forms have been handed in, but provisional results are as follows (all on corrected time):
