Race Update 4
Spanish Bermudan Sloop Hansa remains in the lead on the water and if she is able to maintain her current speed (7.3 knots) is expected to cross the finishing line tomorrow evening, approximately 6 miles off the Heugh Llighthouse
In the classes Sorlandet (Norway) remains in the lead in Class A but is being challenged by Christian Radich (Norway) who is taking a very similar course and sailing at similar speeds. Mir (Russia) has pushed back up to third place having previously slipped down to fifth.
Class B remains the same as this morning’ communications schedule, with Jolie Brise (UK) first in class and first overall, Wyvern (Norway) in second place in class and Tecla (Netherlands) in third, all on corrected time.
The heat is on in Class C, with Dar Szczecina (Poland) overtaking Black Diamond of Durham (UK) to take first in class and second place overall, while Spaniel (Latvia) remains in third on corrected time.
Class D remains unchanged with Endorfina (Poland) leading, followed by Hansa (Spain) and Dasher (UK) in second and third place respectively, all on corrected time.
The wind is set to continue as a light to moderate headwind for the foreseeable future.
