Nanao is the largest city located on the southeastern coast of Japan’s Noto Peninsula. The SCF White Sails of Peace Tall Ships Regatta 2021 will mark the first time the international Tall Ships fleet has visited this rural beauty.
The city of Nanao boasts a strong maritime history of over 400 years having served as a strategic trading port with Russia and China. It boasts quintessential Japanese natural beauty with its coastline laying within Noto Hantō Quasi-National Park. There are a number of interesting sites to see whilst in the Japanese city, including Notojima aquariam, the famous Nanao Castle Ruins and Hanayome Noren Museum to name just a few.
