About Dunkirk
This year the conference was held at the Palais des Congres de Dunkerque – Le Kursaal in Dunkirk. Situated in the north of France, close to the Belgian border, Dunkirk effortlessly brings together history, natural beauty and contemporary art. Following on from the Second World War, the city has undergone a number of expansions, and today has developed into a busy town enjoying unspoilt beaches, marinas and protected conservation areas.
The Dunkirk-Flanders-Opal Coast region was ideally located at the heart of Northwest Europe, along the North Sea and the French-Belgian border. Less than three hours from five European capitals and on the major tourist routes through Northern Europe, Dunkirk is perfectly positioned to welcome delegates from around the world and will provide the perfect setting for the conference.
SAIL TRAINING AWARDS
Each year we see inspirational sail training programmes going on during The Tall Ships Races and outside of our events; and the many amazing individuals who deliver them. The Annual Sail Training Awards, presented at our conference in Gran Canaria, recognised outstanding achievements in sail training and often inspire others.
You can find out who the winners were below.
We are to announce our next conference will take place in A Coruña, Spain, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November.
