Tall Ships Races International Statement on Cadiz

We are sad to announce that Tall Ships Races International Ltd. (TSRIL), a subsidiary of Sail Training International, and the Municipality of Cadiz have jointly agreed that the Tall Ships Races Magellan-Elcano 500 Series 2021 Event in Cadiz will not go ahead this summer.

The decision is made in light of the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the current environment in Spain which does not make it possible for an event of this kind to take place.

We would like to thank all those involved for all of their hard work to date on the event.

TSRIL will continue to work with the Host Ports and consider the necessary adjustments to The Tall Ships Races Magellan-Elcano 500 Series 2021.

The thoughts of TSRIL and the organising parties of Falmouth, A Coruńa, Lisbon and Cadiz are with anyone affected by the COVID-19 pandemic at this time.
