ENTRIES OPEN for our 2016 diamond anniversary events
Tall Ships and crew are invited to take part in the 2016 Tall Ships Races and North Sea Tall Ships Regatta as part of our diamond anniversary celebrations.
It doesn’t matter who you are – if you are over 15 years old you, your employees, children, grandchildren or school all have the opportunity to sail on board the Tall Ships in these exciting events and be part of the Tall Ships Races prestigious history. The two events are:
Antwerp, Belgium Thursday 7 – Sunday 10 July

Lisbon, Portugal Friday 22 – Monday 25 July

Cadiz, Spain Thursday 28 – Sunday 31 July
Race 3
Race and cruise-in-company
A Coruna, Spain Thursday 11 – Sunday 14 August
North Sea Tall Ships Regatta 2016
Blyth, UK Friday 26 – Monday 29 August 2016

Crew wanted
Once vessels have entered they will be looking for crews (also known as trainees) to help them sail the vessel during the races and cruises-in-company. Keep up to date with vessels advertising for crew by visiting our Sail on Board page here, where we will list the vessels you could sail on. It will be an adventure of a lifetime; no experience necessary and places available on small and tall ships.
About the races
The first Tall Ships’ Race in 1956 was a race of 20 of the world’s remaining Tall Ships. The race was from Torbay, UK to Lisbon, Portugal and was meant to be a last farewell to the era of great sailing ships.
