At 0900hrs local tomorrow morning the fleet will begin the process of going through the three large locks that will take the fleet from IJmuiden into the Nordzee Canal and on towards Amsterdam some 26 km away. The Parade in will involve thousands of vessels including Tall Ships, Naval ships, modern vessels and replicas as well as dozens of pleasure craft creating a dramatic spectacle. The first vessels are expected to arrive in Amsterdam around 1200hrs local with the final vessels arriving by 1500hrs.
On Friday, the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta crews will take part in a crew parade which will end in a final prizegiving.
