Trainees Looking Forward to The Tall Ships Races
As part of our competition to win an iPod touch we have asked trainees what they are most looking forward to about taking part in The Tall Ships Races 2010. We have had some great responses and thought we would share some of them with you:
“To meet my international Tall Ships friends again, to fool around at
the crew parades and to experience the magic of The Tall Ships Races
environment. But sailing will always be the number one, the sound of
the sea, the smell of the waves, the warmth of the sun. Just love it!”
JanMartinus Stalmans, Belgium, sailing onboard Class C vessel Antwerp
Flyer
“Meeting old friends as well as making new ones. Visiting Norway as I have never been. Racing on a new yacht and also seeing how great Hartlepool will be as it has been a long 5 years in the making” – Samantha Jackson, UK, sailing onboard Class C vessel Challenger 1
“Reunion with all my great sailor friends! Also looking forward to
winning The race onboard Class A Tall Ship – Mir!” – Benedikte Foldby
Jakobsen, Denmark, sailing onboard Class A vessel Mir
