Leave A Gift in Your Will
Leaving a legacy gift is a simple and effective way to support Sail Training International in the work we do with Sail Training around the world.
If you would like to leave a gift in your Will to help our work with Sail Training, we strongly recommend you that you speak to a solicitor to ensure that your wishes will be carried out as you intend. There are two types of legacy you can leave in your Will, a residuary legacy and a pecuniary legacy.
A residuary legacy:
This will leave a share of your estate, or the whole once your other wishes have been met, to Sail Training International. This is often the best option for both Sail Training International and your loved ones. It ensures those loved ones you leave behind are provided for first and allows your gift to grow in value over time with the value of your estate.
A pecuniary legacy:
This will leave a specific amount of money in your Will to Sail Training International. A pecuniary legacy allows you to fix the amount of the gift you leave, but it may reduce in value over time by inflation.
However you choose to support us, your gift will help Sail Training International to continue our vital work inspiring young people through Sail Training and promoting international friendship and understanding.
How to Leave your Gift:
It’s easy to leave a legacy in your will, just use the wording below which best sets out your intention to leave a gift to Sail Training International:
“I give …………. (add the percentage of your estate or set amount here) to Sail Training International, Charles House, Gosport Marina, Mumby Road, Gosport, Hampshire, UK PO12 1AH Charity Number 1096846 for its general purposes. I declare that receipt of the legacy by the proper officer of Sail Training International shall be a full and sufficient discharge for said legacy.”
