Falmouth Tall Ships 2021 Will Not Be Taking Place

June 22, 2021

It is with great sadness that Tall Ships Races International Ltd. (TSRIL), a subsidiary of Sail Training International, have learnt of the decision that Falmouth, UK, will no longer be a Host Port of The Tall Ships Races Magellan-Elcano 500 Series 2021.

The decision, made in light of the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty surrounding international travel, is an understandable one in the current environment and we would like to thank the Falmouth Town Team, Falmouth Tall Ships Association and all other parties for all of their hard work to date on the event.

Following this news, TSRIL will consult our Host Port colleagues in A Coruńa, Lisbon and Cadiz to assess its impact on the race series and look at any necessary adjustments to the race course for The Tall Ships Races Magellan-Elcano 500 Series 2021.

We will make a further announcement following these discussions shortly.

The thoughts of TSRIL and the organising parties of Falmouth, A Coruńa, Lisbon and Cadiz are with anyone affected by the COVID-19 pandemic at this time.
