The culture, the character, and the economy of the people of Sines were, from Prehistory to nowadays, moulded by the Sea.
Sines is located on one of the best preserved coastlines in Europa. Along its 30 km of coastline, Sines offers beaches for everyone. It is also the birthplace of the navigator, Vasco de Gama.
The landscape includes sleeps cliffs, small beaches, dunes systems, streams, marshes and hills. The diversity of the area is unmatched in Portugal, providing an exciting landscape experience.
