Morgenster was launched in 1919 as a herring lugger “Vrouw Maria” SCH 324 for the fishing company den Dulk. She was built at the shipyard Boot in Alphen. Built in1954 in Les Sables-d’Olonne, France at the shipyard Union et Travail. Was operated for years by the group Refuge des Marins in Brittany until the 1980s when it was purchased by Christian and Suzanne de Parada in 1986. Used for sail training with youth.

The organisation which is based in Ockero – Sweden operates both Astrid Finne and Hawila. Astrid Finne is crewed with scouts and young Swedish students. The design is a ‘Colin Archer’.
