Anousch Vallaeys lives in Antwerp. She learned to sail with dinghies and later became instructor. Her first experience at the Tall Ships Races was in 2010 as a 15 year old trainee. Since then, she has volunteered on different sailing vessels each summer.
Since 2013, she has been Belgium’s Youth Council representative and actively supports Sail Training Association Belgium. She studied at the Antwerp Maritime Academy and has now embarked upon a career at sea, currently acting as 2nd Mate on board TS Pelican of London.
