Race Update 9

July 19, 2010

When the Austrian gaff ketch Aglaia (pictured entering Antwerp) crossed the finishing line at 05.29hrs this morning, it signalled the end of Race One as all vessels have now completed the course.   The fleet will arrive in Aalborg over the next three days, with De Gallant (Netherlands), Shtandart (Russia), Hansa (Spain), Etoile (France), Zvezda (Russia), Queenian (Poland), Zenobe Gramme (Belgium) and Zryw (Poland) already alongside and Provident and Pegasus (both UK) close by.   Others are enjoying the sights and hospitality in other local ports before heading into Aalborg for the festivities.
