Award nominations deadline extended

The closing date for award nominations has been extended to midnight, Tuesday 29 October – to award those who have made a significant contribution to sail training this year.
Sail training operators/organisations are invited to nominate for awards which are presented to individuals and organisations that have made a significant contribution to the international sail training industry. They are decided by an STI Awards Committee and will be presented at Sail Training International’ Annual Conference in Aalborg, Denmark (Friday 15 – Saturday 16 November).äóÂäóÂ
Ron Dadswell, Chairman of the Selection Committee for the STI Awards said, “I find it difficult to believe that in this year’s sail training season every national member of STI has not, through its own members, found deserving candidates for the STI Awards. We’ve had a reasonable response, but not a wide enough geographical spread. It’ down to you to give these organisations and people the recognition they deserve and nominate them before the deadline. They really do deserve to be recognised for their efforts, which has had such a positive influence on the lives of the young people they’ve worked with.”äóÂäóÂ
